Yamaha C5 Grand Piano
Fourth in the Yamaha Conservatory series is the C5.
With features identical to the other C series models at 200cm it is 14 cm longer than the ever popular C3.
Although 14cm may not appear to be a lot, this increase in length is all additional string length and soundboard area, this addition providing a far greater depth of tone more akin to big concert grand tone.

Made for Australian conditions ?
Our as new Yamaha pianos are made for most Australian conditions just like new ones.
While marketing departments attempt to convince people that only a new Yamaha piano is made for Australian conditions this is but a partial truth.
Australia like many other countries around the world have such variety in climatic conditions no manufacturer is capable of providing a specific type of piano.
A short study of the climatic conditions of
- Sydney
- Melbourne
- Alice Springs
- Darwin
- Snowy Mountains
- Perth
- Marble Bar
- Margaret River
and you'll soon realise the extremes of the Australian climate.
When marketing departments and salesmen following their lead say that only a New Yamaha piano is manufactured for Australian conditions one should ask as to "which one ?"
As many of you are aware Yamaha along with most other Asian piano makers up through the 50's, 60's & 70''s did not take into consideration the need for quality wood seasoning and hence they had major issues with defective pianos when they began selling internationally. A piano made with well seasoned and prepared wood is capable of being in many climatic conditions.
Dammp Chaser piano climate control systems
For clients of new or used instruments that live in a condition of extreme climatic change ie really hot and dry then to very cold in short periods of time or maybe have large open fires in the same room as the piano we recommend the Dammp Chaser climate control system.
This system ensures that the piano remains at a computer controlled specific relative humidity all year round regardless of external changes.
We look forward to installing an as new instrument for you.
