A brief history

1927	Phil Collins was born
1941	Phil began work at the age of 14 at Musgroves Ltd Perth, learning the piano trade.
1945	Phil had 2 year break from his trade at age 18 to serve in the RAAF.
1947	Resumed training at Musgroves.
1949	Phil Marries Joan.
1950	Phil assigned to service pianos in rural areas of Western Australia.
1951	Phil builds a caravan that serves as home and workshop for the following 10 years.
1952	Phil transfered to Bunbury to better service the South West area. Chris born, Rod Leesa & Russel Follow
1958	Phil becomes an independant tuner technician after serving 17 years with Musgroves. For the first 10 years the business base was from a caravan with family in tow.
1961	Home built at 63 Picton Rd in Bunbury that also serves as a retail outlet and workshop.
1970's	Phil's sons wished to follow thier father to learn the piano trade becoming the only family in Australia with 4 members being tuner technicians. Chris, Rod & Russell are qualified members of the Piano Tuners & Technicians Asscociation of Australia (PTTAA). The retail business started from home, grew and eventually moved to Prinsep Street in the Bunbury CBD.
1970's	Collins music opens shops in Kalgroolie & Mandurah.
1974	Collins Music's iconic grand piano on the roof.
1977	August 16, Elvis Presley dies the same day Collins music began sales of records & tapes.
1980's	Nobs Musique opens at the Bunbury Forum selling records & tapes.
1990's	Nobs Musique opens in Centrepoint Shopping Centre.
2000's	Nobs Musique merged back into Collins Music
2006	Collins Music opens outlet in Busselton.
2008	Collins Music joins the Complete Music Group, now the largest independently owned music shop group in Australia.
2008	Collins Music opens its private recording studios to the public for artist development and education. Phil now 82, continues his annual itinerary throughout the south west to this day with Chris & Russell to continue his tradition of piano service & restoration excellence.
